Shrub Pruning


They say gardening can be a great pleasure, but for many these days they just don't have the time, or their property is too large to easily accommodate the equipment and tools that they have. Tom O'Rourke is here to help with that, knowing the right times and seasons to prune shrubs, and how to do it in such a way that they plants develop in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Did you know that deciduous plants shouldn't be pruned during the summer, as that takes away their winter nutrition? There are a lot of caveats and things to be wary of when pruning shrubs.

Dead and damaged leaves and branches have to be removed, and our tools are sharp to make a clean cut, from shears to chainsaws for the larger plants, and cut in the right place too, so they don't cause damage inadvertently or otherwise deform the plant. Proper shaping can help to reduce disease and insect infestations as well as making the shrub look great.
